Spring has Sprung

I am so happy that it is finally getting around to looking like Spring around here. I have the first sunburn of the season and their are flowers blooming everywhere. This is a tree that is around the capitol area. I have always referred to them as Magnolias, but have no idea if that is correct or not.

If I had to choose a beautiful photo that made me want to smell the flowers, your photo today would be the one I selected. I find it just flat-out fascinating.

Please, whatever you do, don't visit my blog today (Wednesday) as I lost my mind, I think owing to medicine from my hospital stay, and posted some really gross stuff.

That is a saucer magnolia. There are star magnolias too. And then the traditional grand flora magnolia that is an evergreen. Beautiful photo. Jack and I have been to Jeff City several times. Jack's sister use to be a prof at Lincoln University.
