I've never seen this! The architecture is gorgeous. It reminds me of the grand homes around Lafayette Square in STL. But the occupants are in and out in four (thank heavens) or eight years. It may be a mansion but it's never their home.

I like this mansion.....Our govenor choses to live in Chicago --in his own house- instead of the governor's mansion in Springfield.....so he flies down -on our dime - to take care of business.....frustrating....even though I did not vote for him....this is annoying...he says the schools are better in Chicago than in Springfield..well, only if you go to private or Catholic and how do you think that makes the people of Springfield -our capital- feel?
